Description

Mouse feces come in the form of skinny pellets with pointed tips. These pellets are usually 3 to 6 mm in length. Just like in the case of rats, mice feces have tips that are pointed and the center also bulges. Variances do exist depending on the type and size of the mouse, but the description is pretty much the same. They are normally just like brown rice grains that are rather small. In its fresh form, mouse feces are usually dark brown. However, with time the feces become blackish in color.

Where they are found

The mouse feces can be found in literally any place within the home, and they will be more concentrated near breeding and nesting grounds. This is because mice can poop as they eat, and therefore you may notice these pellets in the kitchen, on the shelves, around pet food, in the trails that the animal uses, the basement, the attic, the ceiling and even crawl spaces. You can even notice mouse feces within your yard.

Disease and health concerns

There are lots of diseases that are closely associated with the fecal matter of mice as well as the mice themselves. You should never handle the mouse feces with your bare hands. Also, you will need to sweep the droppings, and as you do so, use a dust mask to avoid any inhalation of the dust particles as they can be really harmful to your health.
