How to get mice out of a wall

Mice may live in the hidden place in homes, attics, wall interiors or lofts. Mice are able to fit into small openings, foundations and floors. When they have entered into the homes, it will be hard to get rid of them. Mice may live within the walls and they can leave the nest in the daylight. Their presence may become obvious when you notice clawing or gnawing sounds or you see their feces lying around. Before trying to use extermination methods, the homeowners have to identify the type of pests they have and be sure they are dealing with mice. There are other pests known to live within the walls, and the homeowners may need to use a customized method in order to control them. The tracks and droppings can be visible when there are homes that experience a mouse infestation. The holes are also visible within the walls, foundations, ceilings and floors.

The rodents that live in the walls may emerge in the search of food, and at such time the homeowners may capture or kill the mice using traps. The homeowners may lure the mice out of the walls with food bait. The live catch traps, glue traps and spring loaded traps are available commercially. There are those that have been designed to kill immediately and others that capture the mouse live to be released elsewhere. In order to be most effective, the traps have to be placed along the area that the mice frequent most. The traps that are placed in an incorrect way are ineffective and they may present a risk to pets or children within the household.

If you do not want to experience a mice infestation, you have to make sure that your house is totally clean, especially the kitchen. Foods have to be kept in metal or glass containers and the trash has to be kept in the stainless steel cans so that you may prevent the mice from coming into your home in the first place. The reason for this is that the mice will have to go somewhere else when they fail to find food.
